In the main hall, there was an afternoon concert featuring Andy Turner & Mat Green, two excellent musicians and singers from the Geckoes, Jackie Oates, amazing singer and fiddle player with her unique treatment of English ballads and songs, and Andy Cutting, soulful and technically outstanding melodeon player.
At 6pm Stony Steppers performed an excerpt of their popular touring Roadshow 'One Step Beyond'. 'One Step Beyond' is a joyful celebration of the shared social history and traditions of our island nation (and beyond!). It incorporates not just high energy clog dancing, but music, song, acapella harmony, drama and spoken word all interwoven to give you a thoroughly enjoyable evening of entertainment!
Then the farewell ceilidh with PolkaWorks - a band with loads of wonderful tunes and their very special guests. Callers Hugh Rippon and Barry Goodman make up the party.

Just a short note to say a massive thank you to you all in making our finale such a wonderful success. it was a fantastic occasion with a lovely concert to set us in the right mood, a wonderful show from the Steppers and brilliant final ceilidh. And of course a great final concert in the Walter Rose Room.
Over 250 tickets sold and with all helpers, old friends and performers, there must have been over 300 in the village hall for the evening activities.
So thanks to all those providing the entertainment and of course thanks to everyone else who made the evening such a success including those selling tickets, drinks, food, compering concerts, setting up and putting away, offering accommodation to our guests and providing PA and lighting.
Thank you everyone - A fantastic celebration!
